Project Description

Jan Peterson shares the story of a small island in the Mediterranean that became the most heavily bombed place on earth during WWII.

Along with a few of the incredible stories of how it survived due to the arrival of the Spitfire aircraft, Jan will share the personal story of a young American who ended up flying Spitfires for the RAF on Malta in 1942 and the sheer determination and ingenuity of the RAF and citizens of Malta to overcome staggering obstacles and change the tide of the war in the Mediterranean.
