Our new Global War on Terror wing is open! Plan your visit now!
We are deeply honored and thankful for all our generous donors who helped us raise $3.3 million for the Global War on Terror expansion project over the last four years.
We are incredibly grateful to Mission43 and the J.A. & Kathryn Albertson Family Foundation for helping close out this project with their donation of $200,000.
This Iraq and Afghanistan expansion complements the other hangars of the museum in a big way and will serve as a rally point for veterans, their families, and our community for years to come.
Thank you to everyone who donated – we hope to see you soon in our Global War on Terror wing.

Amazing Warhawk round up! It was so phenomenal to see the planes turn and dive upwards! We loved seeing what they could do! Not only that, you had a perfect seat to see the flying regardless of where you were. Incredible job!
I went to Boise area as I am thinking of moving from southern Calif and wanted to drop by this museum and am so glad I did. I spent hours reading the personal written testimonies and recollections from the veterans in your library! Absolutely riveting. Cant imagine why Boise State history undergrads are not recording this for internet access-it is first hand american 20th century history of the biggest conflict the planet has ever seen and must be preserved and shared.
Awesome place cant wait to come back. If I move up to the area, I will have a permanent seat in the library/archive area…you have been warned 🙂
I can not even begin describe how amazing of a visit we had here! We were at the museum for 3 and a half hours, and felt like we barely scratched the surface. We need several more days to explore. The amount of care and detail the staff has taken with this memorabilia is truly outstanding. We hugely lucked out by getting Larry, one of the volunteers, to walk us through and talk us through the key points of interest. Our gratitude toward Larry and all his time and detailed explanation of artifacts can never be truly measured. If you can, find Larry when you visit! Needless to say, we will be back!
