Our StaffWarhawk Air Museum
John PaulCo-Founder, President
Co-founder and President of the Warhawk Air Museum, John Paul has spent his life collecting, restoring, and flying vintage airplanes. In fact, it was his passion for restoring rare airplanes that led to people stopping by the hangar to see them, which led to people dropping off WWII memorabilia, which ultimately served as the catalyst for what you see at the museum today! Over the last 24 years the museum has grown leaps and bounds, eventually adding an expansion into the Cold War, but most of the time you can still find John down in the maintenance hangar doing what he likes best: Spending time with our Warbirds and keeping the old girls running.
Sue PaulCo-Founder, Board Chairman
Originally from Northern California, Sue Paul and her husband John moved to Idaho in 1986, now calling Boise home. They co-founded the Warhawk Air Museum in 1989, where she has served as the volunteer Executive Director for 26 years. She is a pilot and member of the International 99’s, a women’s flying organization founded by Amelia Earhart. Prior to becoming a full-time Warhawk Air Museum volunteer Executive Director, Paul devoted her time to teaching English as a Second Language to adults and tutoring hearing and sight impaired adults. Paul also served as Senior Vice President for international sales for Morse-Starrett Products Co., Chairman of the Boise Chamber of Commerce International Committee, and an Idaho Delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business held in Washington D.C. Paul and her husband have been married for 52 years; they have three adult children and 6 grandchildren. Outside of the museum, she enjoys hiking, reading, skeet shooting and golf.
Carson SpearExecutive Director
Carson joined the Warhawk family in 2023 as the Executive Director, but he had the unique opportunity to grow up in his Dad’s Museum of the Forgotten Warriors in Marysville, CA where he was taught from a young age about the importance of honoring our military and veterans for their service. He has many memories of his Mom and Dad welcoming home veterans and helping them as they returned home from Vietnam. Carson went to UC Davis on an Army ROTC scholarship and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Field Artillery on 8/1/2001. He served as a platoon leader in Southern Baghdad deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II and was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. After returning home he attended law school and earned his MBA to better assist veterans with deployment-related issues. He worked 18 years as a senior operations manager in the civilian sector leading teams ranging from 150-500 employees before joining the Warhawk Air Museum. Carson is a Mission43 Leaders Fellow and is actively involved in helping veterans in Idaho. He and his wife Erin have a 5-year-old daughter Ainsely, a 2-year-old son Jackson, and 2 Corgi puppies that keep them both very busy. In his free time, Carson loves team roping, hunting, and exploring Idaho with his family in their camper.

In 2020 she and her now-husband were married at the museum in front of the P-40E Sneak Attack, with Sue Paul as the officiant. Ashley LangdonMembership and Sponsorship Coordinator
Ashley and her family moved to Idaho in 2014. The second weekend after they arrived was their son’s 5th birthday, and the family decided to visit the “vintage airplane museum” down the street. From that day on, Ashley was hooked. She took out-of-town guests there regularly and became a museum member a few years later. In 2020, Ashley volunteered with the Warhawk Wing Girls and supported the museum by volunteering at special events. In 2023, Ashley came on as the Membership and Sponsorship Coordinator, with experience gained from working and volunteering in the nonprofit space in Idaho. She served as Associate Director for The Canyon County Historical Society and at the Caldwell Chamber of Commerce as Media and Events Manager. She has volunteered for many organizations, including Lake Lowell Animal Rescue and Snake River Stampede. With a heart for customer service and a passion for history, Ashley is proud to support the mission of the Warhawk Air Museum as they continue their 3rd expansion of the museum. When she is off work, Ashley enjoys her family, vintage fashion, fostering dogs, and maintaining her hobby farm with goats and chickens.
