DESCRIPTION:Build it. Learn it. Take it home.\n\n\n\nCalling all future aviators and creators! Join our A-10 Warthog Model Building Workshop designed for kids ages 12–16. This is an intermediate level workshop geared toward participants with some model building experience. \n\n\n\nIn this two-day\, supervised workshop participants will build their own scale model of the legendary A-10 Thunderbolt II—better known as the Warthog—while learning about the aircraft’s history\, design\, and mission. Our team of master model builders will guide students step-by-step\, as they hone model-building skills\, patience\, and attention to detail. All necessary supplies are provided\, and students will take their model home with them! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWorkshop Details:\n\n\n\n\nJune 11-12\n\n\n\nAges 12-16\n\n\n\n$70/student \n\n\n\n10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days\n\n\n\nAll participants need to bring their own sack lunch. DESCRIPTION:Get ready for four exciting days of history\, aviation\, and space exploration at the Warhawk Air Museum Summer Camp! \n\n\n\nDesigned for students ages 12–16\, this hands-on camp will immerse participants in the rich stories represented throughout the museum’s incredible collection of aircraft\, vehicles\, and artifacts. Campers will discover the heroes\, innovation\, and history behind the machines that helped shape the world. \n\n\n\nThe week will include leadership\, orienteering\, military in warfare\, opportunities in the military\, and conclude with an unforgettable live Zoom call with Fred Haise\, one of only 24 Apollo astronauts to reach the Moon. As Lunar Module Pilot on Apollo 13\, he was meant to become the sixth person to walk on the Moon before the mission was aborted en route.
